It is officially summertime in Central TX. My sunburn today is reminding me of the amazing weekend we just came out of. We spent all weekend outdoors enjoying the beautiful town we reside in. I’m in constant awe of the hills, river, lake, town, and people I am surrounded by.
Speaking of this town, it feels like New Braunfels has a barrier around it. Protecting the integrity of it’s small-town origins from big-city stigma. It’s creeping in around it, but it seriously feels like I am stepping back into my childhood of innocence just being here. I don’t worry about being out at night, I don’t worry about theft or violence, I know my neighbors, we still play outside. Maybe I’m just naive, but it feels like 1990 again.
